Palisade is a classic design of garden fencing, also known as picket fencing. Palisade Panels are designed for use with our slotted Jakposts They are manufactured from superior quality planed finished Jakcure® treated softwood, guaranteed for 25 years. Please note we only supply in natural Jakcure® timber finish, but it is shown in some of our images painted white, as this is how some people like to see it finished.

SPECIFICATIONS:

• All fence panels are 1.83m wide
• Fence Pales are 22 x 75mm nominal section planed to finish at 19mm thick.
• Pale tops are machined.
• Each panel is backed by two 2ex 100 x 38mm cant rails. Cant is the difference in elevation (height) between the two edges. Water will run off the rail. (Picture on right) that are fully planed.
• The fence should be erected 50mm above ground level to allow for weeding.
• Palisade fencing is also know as picket fencing.

Our handcrafted Venetian style fence panels are available in a variety of sizes. Constructed using planed slats for a premium finish, this contemporary style of fencing is one of our most popular designs. These remarkably simple but modern panels are built within a framed system to help perfectly align each individual horizontal pale to allow light through.

Great for creating attractive light effects as the sun moves across your garden throughout the day, these slatted fence panels can be integral to helping you create atmosphere in your outdoor space. The benefits of Venetian panels go beyond improving light conditions; shorter panels can be used as a topper to add extra height and privacy for existing fences and walls, while full height slatted fence panels can act as a slatted screen within your garden, to help hide unsightly items, or create storage areas.

Each horizontal rail is 45mm high x 15mm with a planed smooth finish to allow rain water to drain from the fence.  To meet the conditions of our 25-year Jakcure® guarantee, gravel boards are required when in contact with the ground while any timber cut on site must be treated with Jakcure® Cut Treatment to meet specification.

Constructed from Jakcure® treated softwood, Venetian fencing panels are framed for use with our slotted Jakposts. There are a total of six panel heights available, all at 1.83m wide. We handcraft matching garden gates; either right or left hand hanging when viewed from the front and also provide a range of different widths. We also offer a bespoke service for highly specific scenarios.

Should you need a narrower panel to complete your fence, you are able to cut a panel to the correct size on site. Please remember to cut and treat any cut ends with our Jakcure® Cut Treatment to ensure the product is compliant with our 25-year guarantee.

SPECIFICATION

•    Horizontal rails 45mm high x 15mm wide
•    Vertical bracing uprights 68mm wide x 19mm
•    Gap between horizontal rails is 15mm on all panels apart from 610mm (2ft) high panel which has 17mm spacing between each pale  (which is smaller than standard venetian hit and miss, therefore the panels do not match)

If you require a non standard width panel e.g. to complete your fence run you would need 5 ½ panels, add a cut down kit to your basket in order to be able to cut the panel to the required size. Alternatively, please give us a call to speak to us about ordering a bespoke panel.

We recommend using our slotted Jakposts for intermediates, ends and corners.

Gravel boards need to be used when panels are in contact with the ground as part of the 25 year Jakcure® guarantee.

A variation on the Venetian fence panel theme, and just like that style panel; our Venetian Hit and Miss looks contemporary and sleek, complementing the suburban garden as well as more traditional style gardens beautifully – and there the resemblance ends – in the battle for more light, versus less privacy, the Venetian Hit and Miss panel wins on both counts.

The horizontal slats that are usually only on the front of Venetian are also on the other side, these are fixed to cover the space between the slats on the first side with the slats alternating, in much the same way as hit and miss panels are made. Which means some air and light can still pass through, but the view through is obscured. Another big benefit is they are ‘good both sides’ so you and your neighbours don’t have a view of rails, which can be a bone of contention.

The additional slates required to make these panels ‘good-both-sides’, also makes them quite heavy, so for ease of handling we offer them in two heights both at 1.83m wide supplied along with a panel width cut-down kit. To achieve a taller fence, the panels can be stacked – for example stacking two 0.907m panels will give you 1.807m high plus 140mm gravel board gives a total fence height of 1.97m 

The panels are designed for use with slotted Jakposts and gravel boards.

We recommend using capping rails to add the finishing touch to these frameless panels. For mathcing garden gates please speak to our sales team.

Please note: we do not manufacture 1.83m x 1.83m Venetian Hit and Miss panels. Combining 2 x 0.907m panels will give you a fence height of 1.8m but you must add a gravel board in order for our 25 year guarantee to be valid making the total fence height  1.95m. 

If you include a capping rail that will add another 20mm to the overall fence height

Taller variants can be achieved by stacking these panels, up to 2.4m tall, using heavy slotted posts. Please note you may require planning permission from your local planning department if you fence height exceeds 2m, so please do check.

Part of Jacksons premium fence panel range, Woven are a modern high quality panel designed with traditional inter-woven styles of fencing in mind. As with all Jacksons’ panels, they are constructed from Jakcure® pressure treated softwood and framed for use with slotted Jakposts, making them far stronger than old fashioned versions of this type of fence panel.

The Woven fence panel may look like an older traditional style inter-woven panel, but there the resemblance ends; the horizontal timbers aren’t thin slats, but substantial pieces of smooth Jakcure® treated softwood, measuring 38mm high by 9mm deep, that will stay strong and maintain the structural integrity of the panel, all fitted in to a strong frame. There are no unsightly rails to ruin the appearance on one side of the panel, so the neighbours and you are both winners.

One more benefit of this quality looking traditional style panel is you get amazing dappled light and shade effects when sunlight shines through the panel. As with other semi-solid panels wind resistance is lowered due to air being able to move through the spaces between the slats. Woven panels are a less see-through option designed for greater privacy unlike some trellis and slatted style panels which can allow a lot of light through, meaning there is high visibility through them too.  Please note that you will still be able to view through the panel at certain angles.

These luxury flat top fence panels are available in a variety of sizes. Constructed using Tongue and Groove effect style boards, these panels are manufactured to 1.83m wide and 51mm thick as standard. The design originates from the Victorian era, and allows two flat pieces of timber to be joined together for general building purposes; today, Tongue and Groove style is most often used to achieve a traditional wooden panelled effect within the confines of people’s homes to provide a premium finish.

Our Tongue and Groove effect panels are made using our trademark Jakcure® softwood timber, guaranteed for 25 years and featuring a mortice and tenon jointed frame for extra strength. Built using stainless steel fixings for longer life, the centre of the panel is given additional support with a single or double 70mm wide cant rail dependent upon the height of the fence, with a bevel to allow rain to drain away easily.

These premium solid panels are designed for privacy, and provide a contemporary style for a variety of different shapes and sizes of garden.

Our 1.83m Tongue and Groove effect fence panels can be supplied with the boards running horizontally instead of vertically.
