HD Protect Tape is a self-adhesive, heavy-duty joist and flashing tape designed to shield timber subframes from moisture, rot, and long-term structural damage. It’s an essential component for anyone building or maintaining a timber decking area.

This waterproof tape acts as a barrier between the elements and your joists—especially around screw holes and exposed cut ends—areas most prone to water ingress. It also absorbs vibration and friction between decking boards and timber beams, reducing the risk of splitting and enhancing stability.

We offer HD Protect Tape in two convenient widths to suit your project:

• 63mm width – ideal for standard joists and beams

• 118mm width – great for larger surfaces or covering multiple screw lines

Each roll is 20 metres long, providing excellent coverage for your entire decking subframe.

Suitable for use with pressure-treated C24 joists and all types of timber decking construction.

Key Features of Joist Protection Tape:

• 20m self-adhesive flashing tape for timber decks

• Available in 63mm and 118mm widths

• Prevents moisture ingress and timber rot

• Reinforces screw areas to stop splitting and movement

• Ideal for C24 structural timber and deck joists

• Easy peel-and-stick application for fast results

• Improves deck durability with minimal effort

Whether you’re building a new deck or upgrading an existing frame, HD Protect Tape offers unbeatable protection and peace of mind.
