At Clarke Fencing Ltd, we provide a range of delivery options depending on the size, weight, and type of products ordered. From our yard in Stowmarket, Suffolk (IP14 2ED), we operate our own delivery fleet across East Anglia while also offering parcel, pallet, and nationwide delivery services across the UK.

Most local deliveries are completed within 2–7 working days, with charges calculated based on postcode delivery zones and starting from £10. Smaller items may be shipped via Royal Mail or courier, while heavier or bulk orders may be delivered via pallet network or specialist haulage. Certain products, such as garden sheds and buildings, are delivered directly by our installation partners.

You can use our interactive delivery zone map to check if you fall within our standard delivery area. If you need to make any changes to your order or delivery details, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your order. To help ensure a smooth delivery, we also ask customers to notify us of any potential access restrictions at least 24 hours in advance.

Delivery Requirements

To ensure a smooth delivery, please make sure the following requirements are met.

Accurate Address

Please provide a full delivery address including postcode and any relevant gate, yard, or site entry instructions.

Vehicle Access

Our delivery vehicles require a minimum access clearance of approximately:

  • 3 metres wide

  • 4 metres high

If access is restricted, please notify us before delivery.

Ground Conditions

Delivery areas should be firm, level ground such as tarmac, block pave, slabs etc. Soft ground, mud, steep slopes, gravel, or uneven surfaces may prevent unloading.

Obstructions

Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if there are any potential access restrictions such as:

  • Low cables

  • Narrow gateways

  • Parked vehicles

  • Restricted road access

Recipient Availability

Ideally someone should be present to receive the delivery.

If this is not possible, please nominate a safe place where the goods can be left.

Site Preparation

Please ensure the delivery area is clear of obstacles or debris where products will be off-loaded.

Failed Deliveries

If delivery cannot be completed due to issues such as:

  • Restricted access

  • Unsafe unloading conditions

  • Incorrect delivery information

  • No safe place to leave goods

We may need to reschedule the delivery.

In these situations, Clarke Fencing Ltd reserves the right to charge an additional delivery fee for the redelivery.

Changes to Orders

If you need to change your delivery date, address, or order details, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your order.

After this time, your order may already be scheduled for delivery and changes may not be possible.

  • Pallet delivery for heavier goods

  • Nationwide haulage for large orders outside our standard zones

  • Direct delivery and installation for selected products (such as sheds)

Our team will always select the most appropriate delivery method based on your order.

Local Delivery (East Anglia)

We operate our own delivery fleet from our yard in Stowmarket, Suffolk (IP14 2ED), providing reliable delivery across East Anglia.

Delivery Timeframe

Orders are typically delivered within 2–7 working days, depending on stock availability, delivery route scheduling, and seasonal demand.

Delivery Charges

Delivery charges are calculated based on your postcode delivery zone and start from £10.

Delivery Days

Our in-house deliveries operate Monday to Saturday, excluding bank holidays.

Delivery Notifications

You will receive a confirmation email and email/phone call once your order has been scheduled for delivery.

Royal Mail & Parcel Courier Delivery

Smaller items such as fixings, tools, and accessories may be shipped via Royal Mail or parcel courier services.

Typical Delivery Time

Parcel deliveries are usually dispatched within 1–2 working days and normally arrive within 2–3 working days, depending on the courier service used.

Signature Requirements

Some parcels may require a signature upon delivery, particularly for higher value items.

Failed Deliveries

If a parcel delivery attempt fails:

  • The courier may leave the parcel in a safe place

  • A redelivery may be attempted

  • You may be required to rearrange delivery with the courier

Clarke Fencing Ltd cannot be held responsible for delays caused by courier companies once the parcel has been dispatched.

Pallet Delivery (Heavy Orders)

Larger or heavier orders may be delivered via a pallet delivery network.

This typically applies to:

  • Bulk materials

  • Aggregates

  • Large quantities of fencing materials

  • Orders unsuitable for parcel delivery

Delivery Times

Pallet deliveries are normally made within 2–5 working days after dispatch.

Delivery Conditions

Pallet deliveries are kerbside only, meaning:

  • The driver will unload the pallet using a pallet truck

  • The delivery location must have hard, level ground

  • Gravel, grass, slopes, or uneven surfaces may prevent pallet unloading

If safe unloading is not possible, the driver may have to leave the pallet at the nearest accessible location.

Direct Delivery & Installation (Selected Products)

Some products, such as garden sheds and buildings, are delivered directly by our installation partners.

Important Information

  • The price includes delivery and installation

  • We only take a 20% deposit at the time of order

  • Our installers will contact you directly to arrange installation

  • The remaining balance is paid directly to the installation team

The installer will also confirm:

  • Access to the property

  • Shed base requirements

  • Installation date

As these items are delivered directly from the manufacturer, click and collect is not available for these products.

Nationwide UK Delivery

If you are located outside our standard delivery zones, we can still arrange delivery across the UK.

This may be completed via:

  • Pallet courier network

  • Third-party haulage

  • Specialist transport for oversized items

Delivery charges for these orders are price on application.

Please contact us or complete the haulage quote request form, and a member of our transport team will provide a delivery quotation.

A: If we encounter unexpected access issues and haven’t been notified, we may need to reschedule. In such cases, we reserve the right to cancel and refund your order minus any incurred delivery charges.

Q: Can you off-load bulky items?
A: Absolutely—our experienced dropside van drivers can safely off-load most items. For larger orders, we’ll send a two-man delivery team.

Q: How do I request a haulage quote for areas outside your standard zones?
A: Simply fill out our haulage form with your details, and a member of our transport team will be in touch with a personalized quote.
