This 0.9m pointed top picket board is precision planed and pressure treated green to UC4 standards, offering a clean, decorative finish with enhanced resistance to moisture and decay. The pointed top design adds traditional charm, making it ideal for front gardens, paths, or driveways.

Each board is 19mm thick and pairs perfectly with a planed back rail to maintain a smooth and consistent aesthetic. For post support, use 1.5m green wooden posts or concrete fence posts, allowing for a recommended 2ft (60cm) burial depth for strength and wind protection. We also advise using Post Saver Sleeves for extended timber post longevity at ground level.

How far apart do I space my picket pales?

Most traditional picket fences follow a “hit-and-miss” layout, with 70mm spacing between each board to match the 70mm board width. For increased privacy, reduce spacing to around 50mm. Wider gaps improve airflow and reduce wind resistance — the spacing choice ultimately comes down to visual preference and functional needs.

How many pickets will I need?
