Machined half round rails have many uses, most commonly used in agriculural and boundary fencing.

Half round fence rails are green tanalised which is a pressure treatment wood preservative to prolong the life of the rail when used out in the open.

Tanalising the timber half-rounded rails gives the wood long-lasting protection from fungal decay and premature rotting caused by water.

The treatment gives the timber a green look initially which will fade over time to a more natural grey.

Use 100mm galvanised nails when fixing your rails to your chosed post.

The best post to use is a 100mm machine round stake, combine it with 3 rails per bay for a strong aesthetically pleasing fence.

Another option would be to use a half round stake if your looking for a ligher style fence.
