At Clarke Fencing Ltd, we manage the delivery of Jacksons Fencing products separately due to their premium, made-to-order nature. These items are delivered directly from Jacksons’ distribution network and follow different lead times and procedures from our standard local deliveries.

Delivery for Jacksons products typically takes longer than our usual 2–7 working day timeframe, and charges vary depending on the destination and product type. Once your order is placed, we’ll be in touch to confirm the estimated lead time and arrange a suitable delivery slot.

Please ensure your basket contains only Jacksons items—mixing with other products may result in checkout errors. For any access concerns or delivery instructions, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to help ensure a smooth and successful delivery.

Key Information for Jacksons Delivery – Clarke Fencing Ltd

If access to your delivery address is restricted, please inform our delivery team when placing your order.

  • Jacksons drivers will not take forklifts or vehicles off a hard road surface. This includes decorative driveways such as resin, paved, or bricked surfaces.

  • We cannot place materials inside buildings (e.g. sheds or garages) or transport products through a property or to back gardens.

  • Standard deliveries include one member of staff and use of a forklift.

  • Our drivers will attempt to place your delivery as close as possible to your desired location using a de-mountable forklift. If this is not feasible due to access restrictions, goods will be offloaded beside or near the delivery vehicle on firm ground.

Delivery Requirements

  • Accurate Address: Provide a full postal address, including postcode and any gate or yard entry codes.

  • Access Clearance: Ensure at least a 3 m-wide by 4 m-high clear path for our dropside vans.

  • Ground Conditions: The delivery point should be firm, level ground—avoid soft or rutted surfaces.

  • Obstructions: Notify us at least 24 hrs in advance of any potential obstructions (low cables, narrow gateways, parked vehicles).

  • Recipient Availability: Someone should be present to receive and sign for the delivery. If that’s not possible, please nominate a safe drop-off location.

  • Site Preparation: Remove any loose debris or obstacles where your products will be off-loaded and staged.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I Have to Be In for Delivery?
You do not need to be present to receive your goods. If you’d like your delivery left in a suitable area without you being home, please notify us during the ordering process. Note: This does not apply to express or overnight deliveries, which require a signature. Once delivery is completed, all ownership and responsibility for the goods transfers to you.

Will I Be Notified of My Delivery?
We’ll notify you of an approximate delivery date and time via SMS, Email, or Telephone, usually the afternoon before the delivery vehicle departs. Our delivery routes vary weekly, and we do not operate set delivery days by region. If you cannot receive your delivery after notification, please contact us on 01449 614939 to rearrange. Please do not reply to automated SMS or email notifications, as they are not monitored.

Delivery Areas and Charges
We are unable to accept online orders for the following postcodes. Please call us for a bespoke delivery quote if you live in one of these areas:

AB, BT, CA, DD, DG, DH, EH, FK, G, GY, HS, IM, IV, JE, KA, KW, KY, ML, NE, PA, PH, PO30–PO41, SR, TD, TS, ZE, LA6–LA16, LA18–LA23

All other postcodes will be charged at our Jacksons Delivery Zone rate.

Vehicle Restrictions
Deliveries are typically made using articulated or rigid lorries.
If your area has any vehicle access restrictions, please inform us during checkout. If unsuitable access is not disclosed, delivery Delays or Charges may occur.

Express Delivery Options
We offer 24-hour and 48-hour express delivery, which can be arranged at an additional cost.
If required, please contact our team before placing your order to confirm availability and pricing.

Returns Policy
A 20% handling charge will apply to any Jacksons Fencing goods returned that have been correctly supplied.

Q: Can I change my delivery date or Address?
A: Yes—just let us know within 48 hrs of placing your order. After that, changes may require a separate delivery date if our vehicle is already scheduled.

Q: Do you deliver on weekends?
A: We deliver Monday–Saturday. Please contact us in advance to check availability.

Q: What happens if the delivery location is inaccessible?
A: If we encounter unexpected access issues and haven’t been notified, we may need to reschedule. In such cases, we reserve the right to cancel and refund your order minus any incurred delivery charges.

Q: How do I request a haulage quote for areas outside your standard zones?
A: Simply fill out our haulage form with your details, and a member of our transport team will be in touch with a personalized quote. Alternatively contact us.
