1.8m x 100mm x 100mm Wooden Fence Post – Pressure Treated Green

Durable 4×4 timber post for standard height fencing and picket setups

The 1.8m x 100mm x 100mm green timber fence post is one of the most commonly used post sizes for domestic garden fencing. Its robust 4” x 4” profile and UC4 pressure treatment make it suitable for direct ground contact, offering long-term performance in all weather conditions.

This post length is ideal for most standard 1.2m to 1.5m high fencing when following best practice of a 2ft (60cm) in-ground burial. It’s a perfect fit for both lap fence panels and closeboard fence panels, as well as taller picket fencing options like 1.2m high decorative runs.

Pair with closeboard capping for a smart finish, or use within a traditional timber or heavy-duty concrete fencing system.

How do you install a 1.8m wooden fence post?

We recommend digging a 2ft (60cm) deep hole and setting the post with 1.5–2 bags of Postcrete. This ensures good wind resistance and long-term strength. Level the post, pour the mix, and let it cure in place.
