Full Description

2.4m x 150mm x 22mm Wooden Gravel Board – Pressure Treated Brown

Pressure Treated Brown Gravel Board for Longer Fence Runs

This 2.4m x 150mm x 22mm pressure treated brown gravel board is ideal for longer or custom-length fencing sections, helping create a strong and rot-resistant base for your closeboard fencing. Treated to UC4 standards, this sawn softwood board is built to last and serves as a key barrier against ground moisture and soil contact.

Use this 2.4m length to reduce joints across fencing bays or cut down to your exact measurements on site. Gravel boards are a crucial part of timber fencing, raising featheredge boards away from the ground to reduce splashback and improve drainage.

When combined with a 1.80m feather edge board, this gravel board brings your total fence height to approximately 1.95m.

Specifications

  • Size: 2.4m (length) x 150mm (height) x 22mm (thickness)

  • Material: Softwood timber

  • Treatment: Pressure treated brown (UC4)

  • Use: Base board for traditional or hybrid fencing systems

Traditional Timber System

Pair with wooden fence posts, cant rails, and featheredge boards to build a visually consistent and functional fence. Adding post saver sleeves offers additional protection for the posts at ground level.

Heavy-Duty Concrete System

This board can also be used alongside concrete recessed posts and concrete recessed gravel boards. Install it in front of the concrete board to maintain a timber appearance or use it standalone when full timber fencing is preferred. Fix with galvanised nails, timber screws, or bolts as required.

How do you install a wooden gravel board?

Start by setting your fence posts into place using Postcrete for stability. Once level, fix your gravel board between the posts at the base using galvanised nails, screws, or bolts. This establishes the fence line and keeps the timber above ground level for better longevity.
