Full Description
2.4m x 75mm x 75mm Wooden Fence Post – Pressure Treated Brown
Lightweight 2.4m post for longer picket runs and low fencing in exposed areas
This 2.4m x 75mm x 75mm wooden fence post is UC4 pressure treated in brown to withstand full ground contact and damp conditions over time. Its longer length allows for a full 60cm burial depth, leaving up to 1.8m above ground — perfect for extended runs of 1.2m high picket fencing, or light fencing projects in windier areas.
Offering a slimmer profile than standard 100mm posts, it provides a more subtle appearance while still delivering enough strength for low-to-mid height garden fences.
Specifications
-
Size: 2.4m (length) x 75mm x 75mm (section)
-
Treatment: Brown pressure treated (UC4)
-
Finish: Sawn square timber
-
Best for: Picket fencing, screening, and small fence panels up to 1.5m high
Compatible Systems
Picket Fencing
The extended length makes this post ideal for longer 1.2m picket fencing installations, where deeper burial offers greater wind resistance and stability.
Light Panel Systems
While not suited for full 6ft privacy fences, it can support lower lap fence panels where wind exposure is minimal. For higher fencing systems, use 100mm x 100mm posts instead.
Installation Recommendations
Install with a minimum 60cm burial depth and secure using 1.5 to 2 bags of Postcrete per post. For added protection against decay where the post meets the soil, fit Post Saver Sleeves during installation.
