Fed up with gates that don’t quite fit? The Gatemate Adjustable Steel Gate Frame Kit provides a strong, versatile foundation for creating a timber-clad gate perfectly suited to your opening.

 Set the steel frame to suit your opening before adding the timber rails and your chosen cladding.

Add Your Own Timber Cladding

The frame pairs perfectly with our 86 x 38mm Horse Rail. Once you have adjusted the gate to your required width, simply cut the Horse Rail to size and secure it to the steel frame.

Suitable cladding options include:

• Featheredge boards
• Barn cladding
• Tongue & groove boards
• Shiplap
• Planed timber battens
• Other suitable timber cladding

This gives you the flexibility to match an existing fence or create a completely bespoke gate design.

Strong Steel Construction

The frame is manufactured from durable steel and finished with a black powder coating, providing a smart appearance while helping protect the steel against rust, weathering and everyday wear.

Compatible With Gate Ironmongery 

The frame can be used with standard gate latches and bolts, making it easy to complete your gate with your preferred ironmongery.

For additional security, Euro lock long throw locks can also be fitted using the compatible mounting plate, available separately.

No specialist tools or complicated joinery are required. Adjust the frame, cut your timber rails to size, add your chosen cladding and fit your preferred gate hardware.
