3.6m x 150mm x 22mm Wooden Gravel Board – Pressure Treated Brown
Extended-Length Gravel Board for Wide Bay Installations
This 3.6m x 150mm x 22mm pressure treated brown gravel board is ideal for extra-wide fencing bays or reducing joins across long, straight runs. Treated to UC4 standards, it protects the base of your closeboard fencing from moisture, splashback, and rot, while maintaining a clean, uninterrupted timber appearance.
At 3.6m in length, it’s commonly used in commercial settings or along large gardens and perimeters where fewer joints are preferred. The 22mm thick softwood is strong, easy to cut to size, and blends naturally with featheredge boards for a seamless finish.
Used with a 1.80m feather edge board, this gravel board helps bring the finished fence height to approximately 1.95m.

Traditional Timber Closeboard Fencing System
Perfect for pairing with wooden fence posts, cant rails, and featheredge boards to complete a full timber closeboard system. Consider using Post Saver Sleeves on timber posts for cost-effective rot protection where the post enters the ground.
Heavy-Duty Concrete Fence System
This longer gravel board can also be fitted in front of concrete gravel boards to maintain a consistent timber look, while benefiting from the durability of concrete posts. Fixings such as galvanised nails, cup square bolts, or exterior screws are recommended depending on system preference.

How do you install a wooden gravel board?
After installing your fence posts using Postcrete, fix the gravel board horizontally at the base, level and flush with the ground. Secure with galvanised nails, timber screws, or bolts depending on your chosen system. Gravel boards should always be installed before cant rails and feather edge boards.
