Low-Level Planed Green Picket Board with Rounded Finish

This 0.9m round top picket board is planed smooth for a clean, splinter-free finish and pressure treated green (UC4) for long-lasting durability. With its rounded top, this picket is ideal for front gardens, edging paths, or marking boundaries in a friendly and decorative way. The shorter 0.9m height makes it perfect for low-level fencing or where clear visibility is needed.

Each board is approximately 19mm thick, making it sturdy yet lightweight. It pairs perfectly with our planed back rail top and bottom. The boards are typically installed so they sit around 50mm above and below the rail for a traditional palisade look.

We recommend pairing this board with 1.5m wooden fence posts for a strong install with 600mm (2ft) of burial depth, or opt for concrete fence posts for maximum lifespan. Wooden posts can be further protected with Post Saver Sleeves.

Don’t forget to complete the look with a matching garden picket gate.

How far apart do I space my picket pales?

Standard spacing is 70mm, the same as the board width, to achieve a “hit and miss” design. For a tighter finish, reduce spacing to 50mm. Wider spacing enhances airflow and gives a more open appearance, while tighter spacing offers greater privacy.

How many pickets will I need?
